In a certain house, a man and a woman are talking. It's midnight, appart from them everyone is sleeping.
'I'm your friend, Crimson, and as such I ask you, why do you "help" people?',the man says.
'Do you really want to know?',answers the woman with a smirk on her face.
'Yes. I'm very much worried about those who live alongside you in this city'.
'Oh, please. I'm not that wicked. I just give them what their hearts desire'.
'How do you dare utter those words? How shameless can you be?',he yells.'Does anyone truly want to die?'.
'Of course not. But, even if I granted their wishes, it is not my fault they died'.
'Don't play innocent! Had those people not met you, they wouldn't have had to meet their demise!',he's furious.
'All living beings shall face death one day',she replies with a matter of fact attitude.
'You..such heartless person that you are!'.
'Shut up youngster! What do you know about the world? Do you believe yourself to be a righteous and incorruptible man, someone who can fairly judge other's behaviour? Do not make me laugh!',the woman appears terribly upset.
'I...'.
'Are you even knowledgeable of all the ways of men? Well, I am, and I can tell you one thing. Everything you want, you want for free. Working is something you lot abhor. You ask for miracles and then you do not wish to pay the price',she says this in a bitter voice. In her eyes, if one looked attentively, one could find glimpses, tiny traces of a distant past.
'I still cannot believe you',he adds stubbornly.
'Is that so? Have you proof I had anything to do with those people's tragic fate?',the woman says smiling, a twisted grin on her lips.
'No, but...'.
'I see. What could you do without evidence? Blaming innocent individuals of such horrible acts is very awful of you, darling',as she speaks her smile widens.
'What is awful is how you wash your hands of any guilt you obviously have in this matter! However, I'll not stand idly by anymore. I will save the citizens from your clutches!',he cries.
'Save those sinful humans? Forget it, you can't. Everyone has what they deserve'.
'What?',he's confused.
'It's late, you should be leaving'.
The woman does not desire to converse no more, so she sees her guest to the door. As he heads home he ponders over the witch's words. Whatever could she mean by 'they have what they deserve'?

                                                        And that is all?
Who is this man who is speaking with Crimson? He claims to be her friend, but he does not seem to like her very muchWink/Razz . You'll have time to find out.

Very interesting and well written! =) I love the concept of a witch that feels like a real human with complex feelings and gestures =)
